 Katie McCabe Preschool Director Staff Appreciation Questionnaire Ms. McCabe has been with the preschool as director for 7 years and LOVES it. She has a BA in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from University of Iowa and a MA in Education through NIU. She loves working with young children because they ensure that every day is exciting. She lives in Lake in the Hills with her three dogs (yes, 3!!). She is also a manager with lia sophia, loves to read, and be with her friends and family in her spare time!  Linda Pence Teacher Staff Appreciation Questionnaire This is Mrs. Pence's 5th year teaching at the Preschool. She says it is her goal to help the children develop strong thinking skills, by exposing them to expressive, communicative and cognitive experiences. Mrs. Pence has a BA in Elementary Education from Lynchburg College, VA and early childhood education has been her passion for over 25 years. Mrs. Pence lives with her husband, Steve and has two adult sons: Oliver lives in Cary and Adam lives in Portland, OR. Besides loving her time at the Preschool, Linda enjoys her book club reading, visiting family and taking walks with her two grand dogs.  Jan Calahan Teacher Staff Appreciation Questionnaire Mrs. Calahan has taught preschool for 6 years and loves bringing her creativity into the classroom and makes learning fun through games, stories, and music and movement. She has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Cincinnati where she grew up and currently lives in Crystal Lake with her husband, two daughters, and dog. She enjoys walking, reading and scrapbooking.  Lisa Morrissey Co-Teacher Staff Appreciation Questionnaire Mrs. Morrissey is looking forward to her 4th year at the preschool. She has been part of the preschool family far longer however, because 2 of her 4 children have attended the school. She is married and lives in Crystal Lake. She believes children are one of God's greatest gifts and feels privileged to work with them. The excitement and enthusiasm that the children have at this age brightens each day.  Mary Grischow Co-Teacher Staff Appreciation Questionnaire Mrs. Grischow is very excited to start her 4th year at our preschool. She has a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. Mrs. Grischow has extensive experience as a substitute teacher, a Sunday School instructor and a VBS volunteer. She has been married for 20 years to a Lieutenant with the Crystal Lake Fire Dept. Mrs. Grischow lives in Woodstock with her husband, three children, bunny, cat, and dog. |
 Gay Lynn Daniel Assistant Director/ Teacher Staff Appreciation Questionnaire This is Mrs. Daniel's sixth year at our preschool. Her own children had attended our preschool and she is a member of our church. She has a degree in Early Childhood and has worked in the field for many years. She has been married to her best friend Bill for 28 years and has been blessed with four beautiful children. She is so happy to be part of our wonderful staff and to be able to do what she loves everyday.  Tracy Nasternak Co-Teacher Staff Appreciation Questionnaire Mrs. Nasternak is thrilled to be joining the preschool staff. Her children attended the preschool and she is a member of the church. She earned a BA degree from North Central College in Naperville. She has been a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher and a substitute teacher. She lives in LITH with her husband, Scott and 3 children. She looks forward to seeing all the cute, smiling faces of your children and helping them grow in a nurturing environment.  Carol Dlesk Teacher Staff Appreciation Questionnaire Mrs. Dlesk has a BS in Elementary Education from The University of Iowa and a MA in Education from The University of Illinois. She has taught pre-school through sixth grade in her twenty years of teaching. She lives in Crystal Lake with her husband and three children. She enjoys gardening, reading, and outdoor activities. She is excited to be part of the wonderful program at First United Methodist Preschool.  Nanette Collins Co-Teacher Staff Appreciation Questionnaire Mrs. Collins is excited to be returning for her 2nd year at FUMC preschool. She comes to us with a Master's Degree from National Louis University and a Bachelor's Degree of Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. Mrs. Collins lives in Crystal Lake with her husband and four children. She enjoys reading for her book club, running with her friends, and traveling with her family. She is so excited to be a part of the FUMC preschool family and help all of your children develop and grow through the hands on learning provided in each classroom. |
